Following on from the previous blog post, there has been some steps forward regarding our ideas and concepts in which we will pitch to Lecture In Progress on February 1st.
We had a check in pitch with our creative and accounts manager. This was seemingly very helpful for us as a team as it made us realise how strong our initial ideas were. We presented them a deck showing them our first insight which was all about the majority of students are unclear of their next step in their creative careers. This insight was strong as this is what the conference is all about. It is about inviting young to come and see how diverse and powerful the creative industry is. Also to help young people make the right decisions about their future career.
We decided before we had our check in to split this into three questions.
WHO ARE WE TARGETING
WHAT IS OUR POSITION FOR THE BRAND (WHAT DO WE STAND FOR TO THAT TARGET AUDIENCE?
WHAT IS OUR OBJECTIVE FOR THE BRAND?
We answered these three questions and entered them into our own infographic model. This made it very clear for our creative and accounts directors to break down our ideas and direction which we wanted to go. We stated clearly in our check in we wanted to stay humble, be short and sweet and playful in terms of attitude and behaviour for our brand idea. We came up with these things by thinking about our target and what they will be feeling like. If we stay humble this means that they will not feel as if they are being patronised, and a sense of I can do this attitude. Short and sweet was built on the fact that the young 16-24 year old generations attention span is limited. Lastly using playful as a key direction because this reflects the creative industry perfectly in terms of freedom and opportunities.
We also put together a very clear visual concpet. An illustration of a stickman not sure on what step to go onto next following off of uni school etc.
The next thing we are preparing for as a team is the first initial pitch which is this thursday. Where we will be travelling to Lecture In Progress and showing them out proposal. From now till then we are in the process of piecing together that deck along with this list of components.

4. Visual/ mock up of Instagram posts (animated GIFs?)
5. Image/ animation/ ad for Facebook and Linkedin.
6. Animated intro/ outro

8. animatic/ storyboard of film/ video.
