Following on from the briefing day, we ended it by pairing up into teams of two. Harry and I chose to work together on this brief and to answer the financial wellness brief as it appealed to our strengths more. Also we felt we could go much bigger and bolder with this brief.
Our first initial thoughts was through a discussion with Tyrone from Barclays himself when he came over to our table, this spring boarded out focus angles to attack this brief.
The brief as you can see below states some things we highlighted. Such as the tone of voice being vital as talking to younger people is not a strength of Barclays and in fact a lot of banks. Also it says a lot of students use smartphones to pay contactless, which immediately we liked that problem/insight.
After de constructing the brief several times, we shut our laptops and got a sheet of A3 and an old fashion pen. Scribbled down the creative process in the top left, and then just got our thoughts from our heads onto this big blank (soon to be covered) sheet of a3.
From this we put together a document on our laptops to visualise where we were at in terms of insights and ideas, then if any of them would link up.
